daisy*’s “Shoran Project” has been selected as a finalist for the Legacy Futures Award at The Lumen Prize 2026, an international award celebrating excellence in art and technology.
Since its founding in 2012, The Lumen Prize has been dedicated to discovering and supporting outstanding creative practices at the intersection of art and technology on a global scale.
“Shoran Project” is a contemporary reinterpretation of Kidai Shoran, a picture scroll from the Edo period, using real-time 3DCG and autonomous simulation. The project reconstructs the urban landscape of Edo as a constantly evolving “living microcosm,” inhabited by countless individuals who act autonomously.
